Background
Sol is the eldest daughter of the former Khan of the Bayaqud tribe. She first dabbled in herbalism and traditional medicine from the Steppe as she made medicine for her ill mother.
She was raised by her two fathers following the passing of her mother, whose title was then passed onto Sol's aunt.
She lived a relatively peaceful life with her younger brother and her parents, until the siblings lives were changed by a viera, who would ultimately become the reason for the siblings' departure from the Steppe.
Upon arriving in Eorzea to search for their friend, Sol was quickly taken by the bustling cities and interesting people she met. With her brother by her side she's wandered throughout Eorzea, meeting people she'd fall in love with leading to heartbreak and happiness.
The Bayaqud Tribe is a close-knit nomadic tribe from the Azim Steppe, famous for their advanced textile dying techniques pioneered by the First Matron. The tribe's techniques produce some of the most vivid textiles, famously for their regal purple cottons and silks. The color ultimately becoming the tribe's representative colour.
Following the example of the First Matron, the individuals in the tribe oftentimes take multiple spouses, regardless of gender although this is not always the case. This is so as there women are not commonly born and if so, they often fall ill many not making it to adulthood. Their lives are honored during a celebration during the summer solstice, which is also when the tribe collectively celebrates every member of the tribe's namingday.
The tribe see's everyone as an extension of their biological family, parents often taking turns caring for the young auri in the tribe while the others go hunting.
Family is everything for this tribe, and family is what they hold dearest.
